Fun and educational tour for families with mixed age children. Starts with a local wildlife talk using taxidermies in Education Room 3. Family groups are guided by the ranger through the VC and down boardwalks to reserved front row seats on East stand in General Viewing. Ratio is 1:20 with flexibility to go to 1:25 if needed. Ranger stays with the tour group for approx. 20-30mins of Penguin Viewing and provides commentary. Ranger walks tour group back to Education Room 3 for conclusion, pledges, tour feedback and to provide Penguin jumper and book for each household on the tour.

The Penguins arrive at sunset, and this is an outdoor, all weather event.
We suggest you bring warm clothes and a raincoat if rain is forecast.

There is strictly no photography or filming after sunset.
Please practice physical distancing and wearing a face mask when required whilst visiting our sites. Maintain good hygiene and stay at home if unwell. Only Credit card and touchless transactions available onsite – cash is not accepted.
You can see penguins all year round, regardless of the weather.
We suggest you check the forecast before coming as the viewing areas are outdoors and not covered.
